RS PURA, Nov 14: A meeting of women’s workers of National Conference held at Kalyana Plot here under the chairmanship of MLA Bimla Luthra.
The workers apprised the MLA about the problems of women folk of the area. Blacktopping of road, acute water shortage and other developmental activities also became the part of discussion.
Bimla assured the women folk that all types of assistance would be provided by her to redress the problems regarding developmental activities in the area. She further said that National Conference is determined to fulfill the promises made by it during the elections.
She asserted that NC attaches high priority to the issue of women empowerment and the party is committed to ensure women’s equivalence with men in all the fields of life including political, economical and social. Under the visionary leadership of Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah, the party has chalked out an agenda for the equitable development of all the regions of the State, she added.
