JAMMU, May 15: J&K National Conference Women Panchs Sarpanchs and other women workers held a meeting under the chairmanship of Bimla Luthra, MLA at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan.
On the occasion, Rattan Lal Gupta, State vice president was the chief guest, who while speaking, said that National Conference is observing 2013 as a women’s year in which special focus will be given to the different Central and State sponsored schemes and programmes for the prosperity and development of women folk.
He also threw light on some of the schemes including Amol Beti Scheme, old age pension, widow pension, handicapped pension and other such beneficiaries schemes.
Addressing the gathering Bimla Luthra announced Rs 8 lakh from her CDF for the betterment of women folk.
Among others present were Satwant Kour Dogra, Veena Oberia , Reeta Gupta, Satwant Kour, Radha, Rano, Raj Bharti, etc.
