NC will emerge victorious in 2014 Assembly elections: Sadhotra

JAMMU, Oct 27: Minister for Planning and Development, Labour and Employment, Ajay Sadhotra today said that National Conference will once again emerge victorious in 2014 Assembly elections under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for steering the State towards progress and prosperity.
He was addressing a public meeting at Shama Chak in Marh block convened to listen to the public grievances.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that yesterday he visited several border villages in block Marh and took stock of situation arisen due to shelling by Pakistan. The State Government has also prepared a comprehensive contingency plan to cope up with the situation, he added.
He further said that people living close to IB and LoC are facing severe difficulties and it is prime responsibility of the Government to protect these people. He said that that Union Home Minister and Chief Minister also visited the border areas and took stock of situation so that early rehabilitation measures would be ensured.
He appealed youth to come forward and avail the benefits of self employment schemes launched by the State and Central Governments, especially SKWEPY. He deliberated upon the features of Public Service Guarantee Act (PSGA) which facilitate people of the State with an accountable and time bound public service delivery system.
He said that Coalition Government, headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, is committed to channelize the energy of youth towards right direction for equitable and speedy development of the State.
Sarpanchs, Panchs and prominent people of Shama Chak and adjoining areas apprised the Minister of their grievances and demands which mainly included renovation and black topping of various link roads, repair of lanes and drains, etc.
Sadhotra listened to their demands and grievances and assured that all their issues would be addressed at the earliest.
The Minister cautioned the people against the political groups, which are bent upon to divide the people on religious, caste and regional lines and appealed them to supplement Govt’s efforts of ensuring overall growth of the State.
