JAMMU, Dec 21: National Conference (NC) chief and former Chief Minister, Dr. Farooq Abdullah has tried to mislead Jammuites and create confusion and discord in peace loving people of Jammu belonging to different religious and ethnic groups by promising greater autonomy to Jammu in case NC comes to power in next elections. By making such statement the real face of communal approach of NC has come in open, said.
State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson, Sunil Sethi. he said that N C wants to divide people of Jammu province in regional sub groups to create sub regions of Muslim majority by creating mistrust and hatred between people who have always lived in complete harmony . By giving artificial names like Chenab Valley or Pir Panchal region the Kashmir based political groups intend to divide Jammu with sinister plan of greater Kashmir region. Time and again such demands are raised either by these leaders or their stooges working in Jammu.
He said that all regions of Jammu province are living harmoniously and they have common culture and ethos. Attempts to create trouble in some areas by separatists and their political Chamchas running political parties to divide people on religious lines have always failed and will fail in future also. Jammu is shining example of all religious and linguistic groups living in complete harmony unlike intolerant Kashmiri population who forced minority Kashmiri Pandits to migrate.
Sunil Sethi said that people of Jammu have proved that they can live in peace and confidence with each other and need no interference from these motivated Kashmir based politicians.
Sunil Sethi further noted that N C is a spent force and will be completely rejected by masses as it did nothing for people of the State for long number of years it was in power and it’s leaders have always filled their coffers instead of doing any good to masses. It has no political agenda for the State except for blindly falling in line with the separatists, including Hurriyat Conference, for pity political gains, he added.
On Dr. Gagan Bhagat joining N C, he said that it exposes the real face of NC as only days after Dr. Gagan was thrown out of BJP for immorality , he has been welcomed by NC . It is very clear that Gagan Bhagat had filed petition against assembly dissolution at the asking of N C only which is his new master. In coming elections National Conference will have to give answer to voters of having such person in the party, he added.
