Speaking to reporters after a meeting with party workers at Kokernag, Dr Farooq said that people want their issues to be resolved, and without Statehood, that won’t be possible.
“Our stand is clear; we are waiting for Statehood to be restored, which will allow us to ensure that the issues of the people are addressed. If there is a delay, we will have no option but to go to the Supreme Court,” he said.

The NC president said that after elections, people want their issues addressed without delay, but the absence of Statehood is hindering this.
“Statehood is stopping us. How are we going to do this without Statehood and ensure that the issues of the people are addressed and resolved? Eight months have passed, and I am hopeful that with Statehood will come power,” he said.
Dr Farooq said he has reached out to people to warn them about those who act against their interests.
“I have come here to tell people that there are those who are ready for a sell-off, and they need to be cautious about them.”
On the Israel-Iran conflict, the NC president said both countries should ensure peace, as only peace will lead to a resolution.
“I pray that the Almighty gives wisdom to Israel, Iran, and Trump. Only peace will ensure resolution, not war.”
