JAMMU, Mar 4: Former MLA and State vice president of National Conference (NC), Bimla Luthra addressed women workers meeting at village Dali, Vijaypur and village Koullan, R.S Pura.
She said that NC always remained in forefront to ensure social justice and welfare of marginalized segments of the society.
She referred to the Land Reforms Act brought by Sheikh Mohd Abdullah and said that it benefited the weaker sections of the society-the peasants, the backward classes, scheduled caste and scheduled tribe the most.
Luthra claimed that NC reflects the urges and aspirations of marginalized segments of J&K and urged the workers to work for strengthening the party at grass root level and promote its agenda of inclusiveness and regional unity.
Those who were present in the meeting included Sudagar Chand Gupta, district president Samba; Rajinder Singh, block president Vijaypur; Pinky Khalsa, district president Jammu Urban Women Wing; Parveen Kumari, Bharti, Sabita, Reeta, Jyoti Gill and others.
