SRINAGAR, Nov 30:  National Conference general secretary, sitting MLA and party’s candidate from Khanyar Assembly segment, Haji Ali Mohammad Sagar addressed various public meetings in Khanyar today and said that National Conference was poised to script a historic triumph in the ensuing Assembly elections.
Addressing party workers and public in Khanyar, Sagar said that National Conference had transformed Shehar-e-Khaas into a city that showcases our cultural centrality and historicity while also demonstrating a spirit of modernity and new state-of-the-art public infrastructure.
Lashing out at BJP, Sagar said there were clear attempts to launch a political onslaught on the State’s special status and State Subject Law and that National Conference would never allow any political force to succeed in these designs.  National Conference has always worked for the interests of the people and  left no stone unturned to empower them and give power in their hands rather than using power as a tool of manipulation as is the tendency of parties like BJP, Congress and PDP, he said.
Meanwhile, NC leader, sitting MLA and Party’s Candidate from Habba Kadal, Shameema Firdous addressed various workers meetings in Habba Kadal and reiterated the commitment of National Conference to protect the political rights and dignity of the people of J&K at a time when people were making grave efforts to render them politically disempowered.
