NC, PDP have lost acceptability in other 2 regions of State: Balbir

JAMMU, May 1: BJP State spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan while lambasting Kashmir parties NC and PDP today said that they are struggling hard for their political survival as they have confined themselves to Kashmir only, which proved beyond doubt that they have now turned out to be sub-regional parties instead of regional parties.
Balbir, asked leaders of these parties to explain as to why they have not fielded any candidate in Jammu-Poonch, Udhampur-Doda-Kathua and Ladakh Parliamentary constituencies in the ongoing elections.
He said that gone are the days when NC and PDP used to claim themselves as regional parties, representing all the three regions of the State- but their non-willingness of contesting elections from Jammu and Ladakh regions and going to polls for three seats of Kashmir only indicated that both of them have lost ground outside Valley and that their only hope of political survival lies in Kashmir.
Balbir said that it is the BJP only which has fielded its candidates in all the six Lok Sabha seats of the State hence proving that the party is more acceptable and commands credibility among public in Jammu, Ladakh and Kashmir. He said that it is also a matter of pride for the BJP that it has not entered into any alliance with any party in the State.
“The BJP has already its strong hold in Jammu and Ladakh and there are bright chances of the victory of party candidates in the Valley also”, Balbir said and added that the days of regional parties are over now and it is BJP as the only which has the potential of emerging more stronger in Kashmir after every election.
