NC pays homage to Sheikh on 32nd death anniversary

UDHAMPUR, Sept 8: On 32nd death anniversary of Sheikh Mohd Abdullah, district unit of National Conference paid rich tributes to the party founder and former Chief Minister.
In this connection, a public meeting was organized under the leadership of Sunil Verma, a senior NC leader and party candidate for Udhampur Assembly constituency. Choudhary Mohd. Shafi Advocate was chief guest on this occasion.
While paying homage, Sunil Verma listed the numerous achievements made by Sheikh Mohd Abdullah during his regime and appeal all the partymen to follow the foot prints of Sher-e-Kashmir by offering their services for the well being of the people. He particularly mentioned about the devastation caused due to flash floods and urged the party cadre to join hands with the administration in relief work.
Speaking on this occasion, Choudhary Mohd Shafi expressed deep anguish and concern over the loss of life and property in flash floods.
On this occasion two minutes silence was observed by the gathering for peace to those who lost their lives in the natural calamity.
