JAMMU, Oct 5: National Conference (NC) today organized one day workers conference in district Udhampur.
The conference was organized by Sunil Verma, nominated candidate of NC for Assembly elections, which was addressed by Kashmir Singh, vice president, NC and Vijay Luxmi Dutta, President, NC Women Cell.
During the conference, the workers highlighted the problems of their respective areas including construction of housing colonies and adequate compensation to those, whose houses have been partially or totally damaged due to the recent flash floods. They also demanded separate municipality unit for Gahri Rehmbal area.
Kashmir Singh speaking on the occasion assured the workers that Government is working day and night to redress the grievances of the public.
Vijay Luxmi Dutta appealed the women workers to come forward and join hands to work for the poor and needy persons because a lady has a big role to play to serve the society and raise the living standard of the society.
Among others present were Advocate Mohammad Shafi, Prem Nath Sharma, Tanvir Ahmed, Akash Verma, Capt Ravi Singh, etc.
