NC Minority Cell delegation meets DGP

JAMMU, Jan 21: A delegation of National Conference (NC) Minority Cell led by its president, M K Yogi called on Director General Police K Rajendra here today and urged him that a special recruitment drive be conducted for the displaced Pandit youth in camps and non camp localities as these youth are at the verge of over age.
The DG assured the delegation that he would look into the matter according to law and will take necessary action to adjust the unemployed youth in the next recruitment drive a statement issued by the Minority Cell said.
The delegation expressed the hope that the Government will take necessary steps to mitigate the sufferings of Kashmiri unemployed youth.
The delegation also met Vijay Bakaya the former MLC and political advisor to NC president, Dr Farooq Abdullah and sought his intervention in the matter. It urged him that the issue of PM’ s employment package be also taken up with the Governor so that the process is set in motion.
Mr Bakaya assured them that he will take up the issue with the concerned authorities. Mr Yogi also made an appeal to the Governor asking him to issue the directives to concerned agencies so that the recruitment process is started under PM’s employment package without further delay.
Bal Krishan Bhat, Amit Koul, Bittu Ji Bhat Pintoo Ji, Ramesh Bharti, Ashwani Bhat and others were the other members of the delegation.
