MENDHAR, May 10: National Conference (NC) leader Javed Rana has expressed concern over unscheduled power cuts in Mendhar Sub-Division.
Talking to the delegations which called on him, Rana asked the Power Development Department (PDD) to replace damaged transformers at receiving station Mankote and other damaged transformers in the Sub-Division immediately.
The NC leader requested the Governor, Satya Pal Malik to intervene into the matter.
He said that due to power crisis people have to spend sleepless nights during these days of the holy month of Ramadan while students are unable to prepare for exams and entrance tests.
He also said that due to power crisis, the water supply in the area has also been badly hit.
