JAMMU, Nov 26: The National Conference nominated new office bearers for Central Zone including Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts and SC Cell of the Jammu region.
A party spokesman said that Babu Rampaul, former minister and president Central Zone, after consultation with the Provincial president Rattan Lal Gupta and approval of the party high command nominated the committee for Central Zone J&K National Conference.
Mohinder Singh has been nominated as a senior vice president. Those who have been nominated as vice presidents include Mohd Hussain (Former MLC), Swaran Latta (Former MLA), Deepinder Kour (Former MLC), Master Noor Hussain (Former MLC), Baldev Singh Bhau, Issar Khan (Rtd DIG), Ashok Attri (Rtd DIG), Sagar Chand (Former MLA), Vijay Singh, S. Peter, Ravi Dogra, Subash Sharma, Om Dalmotra, Adv Rajinder Chanyal, Sham Lal Mehra, Rahul Mahajan, Dilshad Malik, Rita Gupta, Rakesh Singh Raka, Amrish Sharma, Ch Bagh Ali, Ravi Mahajan, Pandit Brahamanand and TR Mandi.
Those who have been nominated as secretaries including- Bharat Bhusan, Rajesh Bakashi, Aslam Choudhary, Dr YP Singh, Dr Vikas Sharma, Sandesh Kumar Shan, SP Bhaderwaj, Surjeet Singh Sasan, BD Sharma, Arvind Singh Jamwal, BD Dalhotra, Saleem Mohd, Som Raj Taroch, Rajeev Mahajan, Sayed Ali, Prem Singh Andotra, Om Parkash Attri, Ch. Rehmat Ali and Dharampaul Kundal.
Joint secretaries are-Om Parkash Hans, Ashok Taygi, Chander Udhay Singh, Raja Naved, Sham Lal Sadhotra, Manhor Lal Bhagat, Vijay Luthra, Devinder Singh Khurana, Om Parkash Bali, Prof Harbans Lal, Abid Hussain, Suresh Sharma, Parvez Qadri, Harminder Singh, Anwar Choudhary, Moul Raj and Mohinder Kumar Rana. Sat Paul has been nominated as a treasurer.
Meanwhile, Provincial president of SC Cell of NC in Jammu, Vijay Lochan inducted new office bearers/ district presidents of the Cell after consultation with Provincial president Rattan Lal Gupta and also felicitated the newly appointed office bearers.
They are-Tarsem Lochan-Jammu, Hans Raj-Udhampur, Subash C Azad -Kathua, MK Bhagat-Doda, Kewal Krishan- Rajouri, Chran Dass-Reasi, Tara Chand-Samba and Devi Ditta-Ramban.
While addressing the workers Gupta said that National Conference is committed to uplift the SC, OBC and ST in J&K. He said party is fully supporting their issues and it will ensure that these are addressed at all levels. He congratulated newly nominated office bearers.
Lochan demanded implementation of reservation in promotion, control price hike and stop atrocities on scheduled caste and provide them reservation in promotion. He alleged that prices of cooking oil, LPG, petrol/ diesel and other items have gone so high that survival of poor people have become very difficult.
