JAMMU, May 18: Senior BJP leader Sat Sharma today accused the National Conference Government of failing to fulfill its promises made to the unemployed youth of Jammu and Kashmir, saying the present dispensation has betrayed their aspirations.
A deputation of unemployed youth from different parts of the Union Territory met Sharma at the BJP headquarters in Trikuta Nagar and submitted a memorandum highlighting delays in recruitment processes and lack of employment opportunities.
The deputation, led by BJP OBC Morcha president Brahmjyot Satti, expressed concern over pending posts in JKSSB and alleged that educated youth were facing uncertainty due to administrative delays and anti-youth policies of the Government.
BJP General Secretary Baldev Singh Billawaria and other senior leaders were also present during the meeting.
Addressing the deputation, Sat Sharma said the youth of Jammu and Kashmir felt cheated as the Government had failed to provide any concrete roadmap for employment generation.
He said BJP would continue to raise the issue on every platform and take up the matter with the concerned authorities.
Billawaria said the BJP, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has always worked for transparent governance, merit-based recruitment, and youth empowerment.
