JAMMU, Oct 29: Saying that National Conference (NC), Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were destined to get decimated in the ensuing Assembly elections, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) general secretary, Yashpal Sharma today exuded confidence about his party registering a big win and forming Government on its own comfortably.
“People have understood the significance of a stable Government, especially in a State like Jammu and Kashmir which is confronted with problems of varied nature”, Reen said while welcoming youth of Nanak Nagar in PDP fold.
Sharma said that there was no alternative to PDP as the party has strived for ensuring peace and undertaking development during most testing times.
Addressing the new entrants, candidate from Gandhi Nagar assembly segment, Amrik Singh Reen described PDP as a public movement, which, he said, believes in single entity of the State and has been striving for assuaging the politico-developmental aspirations of all segments of people. He referred to the historic role of PDP in generating political awakening.
Senior leader and Ex MLC, Ved Mahajn, Fallail Singh, Rashid Malik, Balbir Singh, Virender Singh Sonu and others were present on the occasion.
Later in the evening, Amrik Singh Reen addressed meetings at Channi Himmat in which Harmeet Singh, Ch Talib Hussain, Raghubir Singh Manga, Parvinder Singh and others were also present.
