JAMMU, Jan 30: Central Zone of J&K National Conference (JKNC) organised a programme at JRC Home for Handicapped, Udhaywala for reaching out to specially abled children and distributed blankets among them, wherein, former Minister and senior NC leader Ajay Kumar Sadhotra was chief guest and former minister and Zonal president JKNC, Babu Ram Paul presided over the function.
The programme was organized by Dr Vikas Sharma Co-ordinator Jammu District (Urban) and Zonal Secretary JKNC.
On this occasion, the leaders distributed blankets, eatables and stationery articles to 60 deaf and dumb children at Handicapped Home and appreciated the management for handling the specially abled children in a unique manner.
Sadhotra while speaking on the occasion said that every children be it specially abled is born with a talent and the need is to explore and shape their hidden talent. He also laid stress on skill oriented studies for these children to make them self dependent.
He said said NC has always kept the interests of specially abled children in mind and assured them all possible help in the coming future also.
Babu Ram Paul while speaking on the occasion said that these children are a gift of God and being a civilized society it is the duty of all of us to help them in all manners to make them self dependent. He said that their self dependency is the only option to live a dignified life.
Ram Paul also assured the management that, if voted to power, NC will make all possible efforts to ensure a dignified life for these children and vocational training institutes for specially abled children will be promoted to make them self dependent.
Dr Vikas Sharma delivered the welcome address, Satish Sharma secretary JRC Home for Handicapped presented vote of thanks and extended gratitude for this kind act.
Among those who were present on the occasion included, BD Dalotra (Retd SP), Ankush Abrol, Manohar Lal, Surjit Kumar, Sagar Lal, Vicky Thakur, Pankaj, Dr Rajesh Singh, Ravi Gupta, Vikshay Vashist, Sajjad Ahmad, Bushan Kumar and others.
