JAMMU, Oct 1: In the much publicized Dr Rubiya Syed kidnapping and killing of Indian Air Force personnel case, Presiding Officer of TADA Court Subash C Gupta today issued non-bailable warrants against Showkat Bakshi and Javed Mir.
The court also directed Superintendent Central Jail, Tihar for making necessary arrangements for production of the accused Yaseen Malik through video conferencing on October 23, 2019.
After hearing Special PP Pavitar Singh along with PP Vijay Dogar for the CBI, the court observed, “accused Ali Mohd Mir, Mohd Rafiq and Manzoor Ahmed Sofi are present with their counsel. However, accused Shoukat Ahmed Bakshi and Javed Ahmed Mir are not present as such non bailable arrest warrants are issued against them to secure their presence on next date of hearing”.
The court further observed, “as far as accused Yaseen Malik is concerned, Deputy Superintendent Central Jail Tihar has drawn attention towards a reference of Ministry of Home Affairs whereby it has been directed that Yaseen Malik shall not be moved from the Tihar Jail and taken out of the jurisdiction of NCT of Delhi for a period of six months with effect from 30.4.2019 or till the completion of trial in Delhi Court whichever is earlier”.
“It is further referred that the accused can be produced before this court through the process of video conference as such necessary arrangements shall be made in this regard”, the court said.
