JAMMU, Apr 13: The Navratra Festival organized by Swami Paul’s Meditation Home, Jammu, concluded with the “Purnahuti” of Maha Gayatri Yagna on Mahanavami today.
During the festival of nine days, apart from Gayatri Yagnas, the Dhyan sessions with Kirtan and devotional singing and discourses by the spiritual head of the Meditation Home, Swami Paulji were organized. Large number of devotees from various parts participated in the festival.
Through his discourses, Swami ji discussed various aspects of spirituality. He explained that in the supra-phenomenal experience for the fullest conception of the absolute reality, there is no room for differences, no room for duality and the entire cosmic system is assimilated in one subject —the search for truth.
Swami ji explained that modern Hinduism has discovered the underlying unity of all the religious orders founded by great saints and messengers of God at different times in different parts of the world with the message that all religious path lead ultimately to the same spiritual goal – the realization of union with the Supreme.
“This is a message, not only of universal tolerance, but of universal acceptance and respect and love. This truth was most brilliantly demonstrated in the life of Sri Rama, who not only shows how we should put ourselves right with our fellow men but also that our love for them should be pure and absolutely free from dark, hidden motives,” Swami ji said and added that the ideal of Rama – Rajya still continues to be the dream and even the distant goal of the people of the land.
“When truth is applied in the daily concerns of life, it acquires the name of Dharma. From Sri Rama’s behaviour and conduct in life, we get to know the detailed application of Dharma in our relations,” Swami ji said.
