JAMMU, Aug 17: Navleen Kour, Assistant Professor, Dept of Computer Science & Engineering, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, attended an International Conference on Telecommunication and Networks TEL-NET 2017, technically co-sponsored by IEEE UP Section, at Amity University Noida Uttar Pradesh.
During the conference, Navleen Kour presented a research paper titled “An Efficient Algorithm for Facial Landmarks Detection using Haar-like features Coupled with Corner Detection following Anthropometric Constraints” co-authored by Dr Naveen Kumar Gondhi, Assistant Professor, Dept of Computer Science & Engineering.
The research paper focused on an efficient algorithm that can be used for features detection of a face with high robustness and accuracy. This algorithm is performed on Jaffee database and provides increased speed of searching process by focusing on region of interest which limits the search area as well as reduces computational time.
