JAMMU, Mar 16: National Awami United Party (NAUP) general secretary, Shikha Bandral has voiced for increased participation of women in politics.
In a press conference here today Bandral said that no one else can understand the needs and struggles of a woman better than another woman.
She said: “Gone are the days when women were suppressed and confined within the four walls as today they are walking shoulder to shoulder with man.”
The NAUP leader claimed that her party is committed to provide a platform for women where they can assert their political representation without the constraints of caste, creed or religion.
She urged the women to join hands with NAUP and move towards brighter future.
“NAUP remains steadfast in its dedication to promote gender equality and empower women to become catalysts for change in the political landscape,” Bandral maintained.
