NAUP demands compensation for rain hit people

RAMBAN, Aug 29: National Awami United Party (NAUP) District President, Rakesh Singh and Vice President, Rishi Gourhia have expressed concern over the losses caused to infrastructure, private property and crops due to the recent incessant rains and demanded immediate survey of the damages so that the affected people are compensated.
The NAUP leaders said that district administration Ramban must immediately depute its teams to assess the losses.
They claimed that entire Ramban district was hit by heavy rains which caused devastation to the standing maize crops besides damages to houses especially in Sildhar, Dhandrath Rajgarh, Neel, Pogal Paristan, Ramsu, Ukhral, Khari, Mahu Mangit, Dhalwas, Batote, Ramban and Banihal.
The NAUP leaders have demanded compensation to the affected people and immediate restoration of road connectivity saying the mobility of the people belonging to peripheral areas has got affected.
NAUP Vice President, Rishi Gourhia demanded restoration of essential services like power, drinking water and ration for the people of the district.
