Natrang stages 2 shows of ‘Colors of Jammu Kashmir’ at Abhinav Theatre

JAMMU, July 16: World class cultural event titled ‘Colors of Jammu & Kashmir’– a presentation of Natrang Jammu, was staged here this evening at Abhinav Theatre twice for packed-house audience.
Conceived designed and directed by Padamshree Balwant Thakur, this is the same show which was presented for the International delegates of G20 countries at Srinagar. Ramesh Kumar Divisional Commissioner Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion. He honoured all the participants of this magnificent show which received standing ovation.
Earlier, while welcoming the distinguished guests, Natrang Director Balwant Thakur acknowledged the support of Jammu and Kashmir Government for the production of this international show.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu while appreciating the efforts of Natrang Jammu said that such artistic initiatives will bring new cultural revolutions in this region and need patronage and support of all.
‘Colors of Jammu Kashmir’ is a unique cultural album of Jammu and Kashmir showcasing the variegated variety of different colours, rhythms, costumes, design patterns and artistic expressions, expressed through the diverse dances of J&K. This amazing bouquet of rarest dance traditions unfolded the mesmerizing artistic traditions of the crown of incredible India. Each dance presentation despite being different from the other in rhythm and pace was artistically and aesthetically blended with each other so as to present their harmony and wonderful correlation.
Artists who performed in the event include Muskan, Sushant, Radhika, Sunaina, Rumla, Ankita, Kanika, Sukriti, Ankeeta, Akanksha, Akshra, Sheetal, Akriti, Anshika, Vrinda Badyal, Shavi, Gorvi, Mehak, Arti, Kriti Singh, Bhawana, Razia, Kananpreet, Meenakshi, Radhika, Jeevika Misri, Aashima, Divam, Ravi Ahirwar, Karan, Aryan, Sachin Mehra, Sahil, Vansh, Rahul Kalotra, Sahil, Arun Dev, Arun Sharma, Mihir, Aryan Dev, Jiteshwar, Amit Singh, Shaptan, Meshu Ram, Vishal Singh and Vishal Sharma.
Natrang’s versatile artists who provided highly professional support to the performance include Aadesh Dhar (Programme Assistant Properties), Mitali Sarmal (Make- Up Artist), Mansi Rattan (Costumes Designer), Aaditya Bharti (Programme Assistant Costumes), Shivam Singh (Designer Properties), Brijesh Avtar Sharma (Programme Assistant Sound), Maloop Singh (Director Photography/ Videography) and others.
