JAMMU, Aug 4: Natrang is going to start a massive theatre initiative aimed at taking theatre to the remotest areas of the State with highly socially relevant themes.
This was informed here today by Natrang Director, Padamshree Balwant Thakur in a press briefing. Giving details, Natrang Director informed that from August 10, 2016, Natrang is starting a touring programme with three plays which will be staged in the remotest villages of Poonch District.
The first such programme will open at village Gulpur in Poonch on August 10, 2016, at 1 pm in which three plays will feature namely ‘Suno Eh Kahani’ (Dogri/Pahari) written and directed by Balwant Thakur ‘Choona Hai Aasmaan’ (Hindustani) written and directed by Balwant Thakur and ‘Soch’ (Hindi) directed by Rahul Singh. The second programme will be held at village Jhullas (Poonch) on August 11, at 11am. On August 12, 2016, Natrang team will reach Mankote at 11am. The last show of the series will be held on Saturday at 11am, August 13, 2016 at Balnoi (Poonch).
