National Wage Commission among demands raised by NMC

JAMMU, Nov 7: After the benefits of Seventh Pay Commission were released to the employees of J&K at par with Central Government employees, president of National Mazdoor Conference (NMC), Subash Shastri said that notification to this effect should be issued at the earliest.
Addressing NMC workers meet here Shastri hoped pro-employees, pro-working class and delivery of justice for the people of J&K will resolve all pending issues in J&K after reorganisation of the State into two Union Territories.
He appealed to the Lt. Governor administration to issue necessary order for enhancing medical allowance from Rs 300 to 1000 per month to the J&K pensioners.
He also demanded setting up of National Wage Commission for evolving National Wage Policy throughout the country, implementation of all Central Labour Laws in J&K besides pension benefits to employees of public and private sectors and releasing of all pending wages of daily rated workers working in PWD, PHE, Irrigation, Flood Control and other Departments.
Among others who spoke on the occasion were Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S Jamwal, Surinder Kumar, Darshan Baba, Gharu Ram, Ramesh Sharma, Suraj Parkash, J.P Sharma, Tarseem, Joginder Bhagat, Bhupinder Singh and others.
