National Moot Court Competition underway at IILM School of Law

JAMMU, Apr 18: The three day National Moot Court Competition was inaugurated at IILM School of Law, Greater Noida on April 17 and it will culminate on April 19.
The inaugural session was started by Justice Rajesh Bindal, Judge of Supreme Court of India as chief guest and Nar Hari Singh, Advocate on Record of Supreme Court of India was the guest of honour.
The ceremony was held under patronage of Prof. Dr. Taruna Gautam, Vice Chancellor of IILM University, Prof. Dr. Afzal Wani, Pro Vice Chancellor & Dean of IILM Law School and Major General B.D Wadhwa (Retd), Pro Chancellor of the University.
The event is being joined by 64 participants from all over the India.
Justice Bindal emphasized on the significant role of moot courts in shaping legal acumen of the students.
He stressed upon the students to learn drafting skills and skills to argue.
Nar Hari Singh stressed upon the need of conducting moot courts periodically in law colleges which will foster critical thinking, teamwork and problem solving qualities among students while building confidence and valuable interactions with legal professionals.
