JAMMU, Aug 19: The Department of Library and Information Science, University of Jammu, celebrated the “National Librarians Day” today on the occasion of Dr S R Ranganathan’s 124th birth anniversary.
Faculty members of the department, Research scholars and students of the department participated in the function, which started with the lightening of ceremonial lamp by Prof & Head of the Department, Dr Sangita Gupta and others.
The students of B Lib.I Sc and M.Lib .I Sc highlighted the achievements of Dr S R Ranganathan. The students also organized cultural programme.
