JAMMU, Dec 24: National Level Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Entrepreneurship Develo-pment” concluded at SMVDU.
The program was organized by Entrepreneurship Development Cell, SMVDU with the financial backing from Department of Science and Technology, NIMAT Project, Government of India.
In valedictory address, the chief guest of the function Dr MI Parray, Director, Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) highlighted the usefulness of such kind of progressive activities for the faculty members of diverse streams and from different institutions across the country.
Parray laid stress on identifying inner strengths and exploring our ultimate goals. He emphasized on diminishing self-interest and enhancing an ever ending quest for bringing smile on the face of budding entrepreneurs. According to him, it is very important to acquire appropriate skills to be successful.
During his interaction with the participants, he emphasized upon taking motivation from the hard work behind the success of the great personalities and called for recommending 10 students for further training at JKEDI by each participant of the said FDP.
With the help of real life examples and short stories, he explained the attributes of entrepreneurs and mentioned that commitment and dedication are the key virtues for enjoying success with flying colours on the path of entrepreneurial endeavors.
The participants of the program belonged to different universities and institutions including Guru Jambeshwar University, Hisar, Manav Rachna International University, Faridabad, Central University of Jammu, University of Jammu, NIFTEM, Kundli, BGSB University, Rajouri, SMVDU, College of Commerce, Patna, GCET, Jammu etc.
During the valedictory function, Chief Coordinator, Entrepreneurship Development Cell, SMVDU and Associate Professor, School of Business, Dr Supran Kumar Sharma briefed about the different activities conducted during the event.
This two-week long program had encompassed of a range of lecturer sessions which comprised of case study analysis, panel discussions, business plan preparation, brain-storming, interface with successful entrepreneurs including TVS Gujral and Rajnish Sharma, library research, industrial visit, role plays, etc. through contributions by esteem experts from academia, corporate and industrial training institutes including Saheel, Asstt Director, MSME DI, Jammu, JKEDI, Prof T Prasad, NITIE Mumbai, University of Jammu, Dr Zillur Rahman IIT Roorkee, Prof Sudhir Jain, IIT Delhi, Dr Satinder Kumar, Associate Professor, University of Jammu etc. apart from in-house faculty experts of SMVDU.
