This has reference to the news item ‘Meghalaya to Mirpur, no compromise on national integration’ DE Aug 17. The nation in no way can compromise on its integration. There are many forces both internal and external hell bent on breaking India as they do not want to see India emerging as a powerful country in the region. They feel threatened to see India playing a key role in the world affairs. So, they wish India a divided country along regional and religious lines.
India being a pluralistic country having many faiths, castes, regions and religions. People here may differ with one another on many planes, but it is the beauty of this country that people believe in communal harmony and living in co-existence.
The forces inmical to the country are leaving no stone unturned to expolite this social matrix. They have not succeeded so far in their nefarious designs, and will not succeed in the future as well, If people understand their ploy and remain united.
