Nation faced scams during Congress rule: Khanna

KATHUA, Apr 1: BJP national vice-president & J&K Prabhari, Avinash Rai Khanna today said that India faced scams under Congress rule, while BJP has flooded the country with welfare schemes.
Addressing a large gathering of Sarpanchs, Panches, presidents and members of Municipalities of Kathua district under party’s campaigning for Lok Sabha election, Khanna said that prior to formation of BJP Government at the Centre under Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, UPA- I   &UPA- II created history in scams and every day a new case of corruption surfaced.
“BJP formed its Government at the Centre in 2014 and during the last five years, a large number of welfare schemes for all sections of the society like Mudra Bank Yojana, Beti Bachoo Beti Padao, Ayushman Health Scheme, Ujwala, Ujjala, Sukanya, etc have been launched in five years and crores of people across the country have availed them.
Khanna, while stressing upon the gathering to expose the Congress for its misdeeds and scams, said that developmental projects and welfare schemes of BJP need to be taken to every nook and corner of the State.
State general secretary of BJP, Dr. Narinder Singh on this occasion, said Modi wave has turned Congress issueless and its leaders are unable to face the public. He said that every single vote is important and every activists of the party has to devote more time to ensure victory of party candidate, Dr. Jitendra Singh.
Former Minister Rajiv Jasrotia said that BJP candidate will win with huge margin as his five year term has been splendid with record number of development projects brought for the first time.
District president, Premnath Dogra assured Khanna that the district unit of BJP will work more vigorously for the victory of Dr. Jitendra Singh.
Prominent among those who attended this meeting included State secretary, Raghunandan Singh, Adv. Vijay Sharma, Ex MLAs Durga Dass, Kuldeep Kumar, Working Committee, Member Gopal Mahajan and others.
Meanwhile in a function held in Saar Panchayat of the district, Kathua district Youth president of PDP, Vikas Upadhayaya, joined BJP along with his colleagues in presence of a large number of local people. He was welcomed into party fold by Avinash Rai Khanna, Dr. Narinder Singh, Rajiv Jasrotia and Rekha Devi.
