JAMMU, Mar 15: Nat Manch under its ongoing Tuesday series presented a Dogri play “Ek Soch” written and directed by Tarun Sharma.
The play was based on the issues related to women including eve teasing, sexual harassment and molestation. The crime against women prevails everywhere. If a woman goes to mall, Bus Stand, railway station, theatre, colleges or school, she has to face these issues. Many believe that it is the clothing of women that elicits such uncouth behaviour, but even conservatively dressed Muslim women who wear burqa over their clothes leaving only the eyes and feet visible are also subjected to it.
The story started with a group of boys standing on the road side, who were making fun of girls. A girl came there and a boy started making fun of her and passed vulgar comment. The girl started crying and ran away from the spot and narrated the ordeal to her father, who made a plan to teach the boys a lesson, but stopped as his own son was part of the group.
The actors who performed in the play were Tarun Sharma, Rishav Salgotra, Priya Kashyap, Ishan Mansotra, Aman Sharma, Abhishek Mehra, Mohit Sharma, Priyanshu Gupta and Abhimanyu.
