JAMMU, Nov 25: Senior BJP leader and Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Narotam Sharma representing Ward number 3 here today inaugurated construction and renovation works of lanes and drains in his Ward.
The estimated cost of these works is about Rs. 11 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, Narotam said that remaining works of the Ward will also be completed soon.
He directed the concerned executing agency and the contractor to ensure quality of the work and reiterated the commitment of BJP for its policy of ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’.
The Councillor asked the people of his Ward to keep their surroundings clean and stop throwing garbage here and there.
He stressed on avoiding single use plastic and cooperating with JMC in making the city a neat and clean place.
Local BJP leaders and important residents of the area who were present on the occasion were Parveen Kerni, East Mandal president BJP; Yash Abrol, Ram Lubhaya, Vidya Devi, Anuradha Sharma, Booth president, Sanjay Abrol, Sanjay Sharma, Sunil Khajuria, S. Manmohan Singh and others.
