POONCH, Mar 4: The police nabbed a Narcotic smugglers and recovered some drugs from his possession in Mendhar area today.
A police official said that carrying forward the special drive, on the directions of SSP Poonch Romesh Angral, a police party led by SHO Mendhar, Insp Anayat Hussain under supervision of SDPO Mendhar, Neeraj Padyar, established a Naka at Ari. On seeing police Naka, one person namely Mudassir Arfat, son of Mohd Khalid Bakerwal, resident of Gursai started running.
The police followed and captured him and during frisking, recovered drugs and other material used for sale and consumption by locals. On this, the instant case FIR No. 33/2019 u/s 8/21-22 NDPS ACT has been registered at PS Mendhar against the accused person.
