UDHAMPUR, Jan 19: Udhampur Police today arrested a narcotic smuggler and seized 500 gms of contraband substance (Charas) from his possession.
The accused, identified as Rakesh Sharma, alias Gopal, son of Bansi Lal of Padian, was arrested from Chopra Shop area during checking of vehicles by a Police team, led by Zahid Saif Wani, Dysp Hqrs Udhampur, assisted by SHO Rehambal, Inspr Paramjeet Singh and Inspr Ajay Bhat.
In this connection, a case FIR number 13 /2019 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rehambal and further investigation of the case is going on.
