UDHAMPUR, July 21: Police today arrested a narcotic smuggler from Jakheni Chowk and seized 10 grams of heroin like substance from his possession.
According to SSP Udhampur, Rajiv Pandey, the accused was intercepted during a naka, led by SHO Udhampur Vijay Singh Choudhary at Jakheni Chowk, Udhampur. During his search, 10 grams of heroin like substance was recovered.
The accused, identified as Rajesh Kumar alias Billa, son of Nek Ram of Saillan Talab, Udhampur, was arrested on the spot and recovered heroin like substance was also seized.
In this connection, a case FIR number 343/2019, under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Udhampur and further investigation of the case is taken up.
