Narco smugglers nabbed with heroin

JAMMU, Dec 22: Police nabbed two narcotic smuggler and recovered heroin from their possession at Palli Morh area, falling under the jurisdiction of Bishnah police station.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Bishnah police station raised a naka at Palli Morh and signaled a without registration number scooty to stop for checking.
On seeing police cops, the scooty rider accelerated the vehicle and escaped from the spot. Stinking something fishy, the cops chased the vehicle and intercepted it near some distance from the naka point.
During checking, police recovered 5 grams heroin from the possession of two persons riding on the scooty and arrested them.
The accused have been identified as Mukhtair Ahmed, son of Sadar Din, a resident of Rajpura, tehsil Mandi, district Poonch and Ankush Salgotra alias Tony, son of Romesh Chander, a resident of Mehmoodpur, tehsil Bishnah.
A case under FIR Number 195/16 under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Bishnah police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Paramjit Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
