Narayan Sewa Sansthan distributes wheelchairs, bed sheets among needy

JAMMU, May 1: Narayan Sewa Sansthan Jammu Branch organised a function at Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha, Shalamar Road Jammu led by Jagdish Raj Gupta where wheelchairs and bed sheets were distributed among the needy persons.
Narayan Sewa Sansthan is an NGO established in 1985 by Dr Kailash ” Manav ” Aggarwal to treat patients from physically challenged, cerebral palsy and service to the orthopedically handicapped and disabled and its aim is to provide education and vocational training to the physically challenged mentally retarded people with proper facilities to develop their potential to the fullest so that they can be self-reliant and independent.
Charitable organization works closely with hospital’s Rehabilitation facilities, mentally retarded children, handicapped and individuals. Jagdish Raj Gupta threw light on the Social activities of the Jammu Branch.
Rakesh Sharma, Vice President said, “We are thankful to the donors of Jammu who contribute wholeheartedly and make us able to do social works for the downtrodden and needy persons. The main donors who are actively associated with the organization are Sumiti  Parkash Jain , who collected the donations from Kanak Mandi and Raghunath Bazar, Warehouse, Prof. Kulbhushan Abrol, Nirmala Charitable Trust, Vijay Bagotra, Sukriti Choudhary, Abrol Electronic, Jay Kay Electronic, Vinod Kumar and sons, Aggarwal and brothers, Sunita  (Secretary), Er R.C Gupta (Retd. AEE), Arun Kumar Gupta,(Retd. Sr. Head Master),prominent personalities of Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha,Vijay Gupta, Darshan Gupta (Marriage Bureau members) and  many more others.
Subash Gupta, General Secretary highlighted the achievements of the unit in details like computer courses provided to 350 deserving and poor candidates  out of which 50 candidates were placed in the private sector and 50 candidates in Government jobs. Sewing machines, Wheelchairs and Blankets are being distributed regularly besides other charitable works. About 100 disabled patients have also been sponsored from J&K branch to NSS Udaipur for treatment and medical treatment.
