Nanda launches development works

KATRA, Feb 16: Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Information Techn-ology, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, FCSCA, Tribal Affairs, Relief & Rehabilitation and Labour & Employment, Ajay Nanda today said that Government is working vigorously to upgrade the infrastructure in the State to ensure overall development.
The Minister stated this while addressing a public in Antali after laying the foundation stone of several development works in Katra town.
He laid foundation of five works which include lanes and covered drains wards- 5, 3, 8 involving an estimated cost of Rs 25 lakhs.
He also laid the foundation of septic tank and water tank at ward no-1 to be completed at an estimated cost of 5 lakh. On completion, this will benefit thousands of tourists and local people as informed by the concerned officer.
Minister said the Gover-nment is endeavoring to upgrade the basic services in every part and also laying thrust on providing more accountable, responsive and transparent administration to the people. He further said this will not only ensure effective implementation of developmental initiatives but also encourage the authorities to work hard and achieve fixed targets well in time.
