Sir,
For quite some time, there have been demands for naming and renaming streets, airports, institutions etc after some very well known personalities , some with historical and cultural high background. So far so good .
I suppose we should have institutions , roads , important bridges , bus terminals, airports etc duly named after such personalities in order to impart a sense of patriotism, recognition of local culture and traditions to our younger people and progenies who must get connected to history and related issues but we must not forget our those war heroes who laid down their lives for protecting and defending our state from aggression and proxy war inflicted on us by our treacherous neighbour. We have a long list of such heroes and rechristening institutions and places of public utilities like airports, bus terminals etc after their names shall keep the institution of offering supreme sacrifices for the country glorifying and worth remembering , not rarely but very often. A word of suggestion to our leadership , at the same time, is to focus on the real and immediate problems of the people rather than playing politics of naming and renaming things.
