JAMMU, Dec 29: District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (DGPC) Jammu will take out Nagar Kirtan in Jammu City tomorrow in connection with Parkash Parv of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
This was disclosed today by Jagjit Singh, president, DGPC Jammu, while addressing a press conference here today along with office bearers. Urging the devotees for massive participation, he said that the Nagar Kirtan will be taken out at 10 am from Gurdwara Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Chand Nagar, Jammu and will culminate at about 5 pm at Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Guru Nanak Nagar, Jammu.
“The Nagar Kirtan will pass through Hotel Fortune Inn Riviera, Vivekananda Chowk, Dogra Chowk, District Police Lines, Dainik Jagran Chowk, Green Belt Chowk, Gole Market, Gandhi Nagar, FCI Depot, Balmiki Chowk, Shivaji Chowk and Guru Nanak Nagar,” the DGPC president said and appealed all the participating schools to come in time and remain in discipline.
He informed that in the Nagar Kirtan, specially invited preacher Dr Roop Singh (general secretary of Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee, Amritsar), Harpreet Singh of Amritsar, Harbinder Singh (Incharge Sikh Mission, J&K), Panthak Kavi Sulakhan Singh Arshi of Jammu, Ranjeet Singh Khalsa of Yamuna Nagar, Bhagat Singh Bir of Jagadhari, Harbhajan Singh of Nahal (Jalandhar) and Davinder Kour of Jammu will recite Gurbani and Sikh history.
The office bearers of DGPC Jammu also appealed Sikh Sangat for participation in Gurupurab Samagam (Main Dewan) at Gurudwara Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Chand Nagar, Jammu on January 2, 2020 from 10 am to 4: 30 pm during which Sukhwarsh Singh Pannu (Member SGPC Amritsar), Jaswinder Singh (Manager), Harmandir Sahib (Amritsar), Sarabjeet Singh (Parcharak, Gurdwara Manji Sahib Amritsar), Ragi Jathas of Mohinder Singh (from Delhi) and local Ragi Jathas will recite the Gurbani and Sikh history.
Other DGPC office bearers present in the conference were Kuldeep Singh (vice president), Fateh Singh (general secretary), Mohinder Singh (joint secretary), Ramnik Singh (member), Jathedar Mohinder Singh (member) and Manmohan Singh Khalsa (member).
