JAMMU, Mar 13: NABARD organised a one day workshop on Centrally sponsored scheme “Establishment of Agri-Clinic Agri-Business Centres” at 17 Miles, Vijaypur.
The workshop was attended by the Lead Bank Manager, District Managers of all the banks, Director R-SETI, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, AEOs, BVOs, NGOs and Chief Volunteers of Farmer Clubs.
While introducing the concept of Agri-Clinics & Agri-Business Centres, District Development Manager of NABARD Surinder Singh informed that under the scheme the agricultural graduates can avail bank loan upto Rs 25 lakh and NABARD will provide a subsidy of 36 percent to 44 percent to the entrepreneurs. The scheme also has the flexibility to accord loan upto Rs 100 lakhs if 4-5 entrepreneurs set up a joint venture, he added.
Lead Bank Manager, Vijay K Wali impressed upon the unemployed Agricultural Graduates to take benefit of the scheme and set up their own Agri-Clinics & Agri-Business Centres.
Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Dr G L Bhagat, Director R-SETI, Mahesh Gupta, Chief Volunteer, Capt Ajeet Kumar also spoke on the occasion.
