RAJOURI, Dec 4: A six-member Peer Team from National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) conducted three -day visit at the Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri.
The team had formal interaction with the University management, Teaching faculties, students, parent, alumni and non-teaching staff of the University. The team assessed the University on several parameters including curricular aspects, teaching-learning and evaluation, research, innovations and extension, infrastructure and learning resources, student support and progression, governance, leadership and management, institutional values and best practices.
The NAAC team, headed by Prof Mohan K Khedkar, former Vice Chancellor, SGBA University, Amaravati , Maharashtra, was comprising Prof Quamrul Hassan of Jamia Millia Islamia , Delhi , Prof G Rajarami Reddy, former Vice Chancellor , VS University, Nellore ,Andhra Pradesh, Prof N D Mathur, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, Prof Sanjeev Kumar, Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Agra and Prof Pardeep K Ahlawat, M D University, Rohtak.
The accreditation has been an important initiative by the Vice Chancellor of BGSBU, Prof Javed Musarrat, which has been accomplished for the first time after the inception of the university. This step would give greater autonomy to the University and will open new vistas for enhanced funding from various Government and non – Government agencies.
