KATHUA, Apr 5: A nonagenarian person died in mysterious circumstances at village Jagatpur Matandi under the jurisdictions of Lakhanpur Police Station. The deceased was identified as Jamit Raj ,90, son of Baldev Raj resident of village Matandi, Lakhnapur.
After getting the information from his family numbers about mysterious death, a police team of Police Station, Lakhanpur reached on the spot and conducted autopsy of body. The body was later handed over to family members for last rites.
The Lakhanpur police has started investigation under Section 174 and recorded the statement of family members. The property dispute is known to be cause of the death.
Meanwhile eleven passengers were injured when a Matador turned turtle at Dewal on Billawar road this evening.
The accident took place when the driver lost the control of the vehicle and it turned turtle on Billawar road which resulted in injuries to 11 persons who were traveling in the vehicle.
All the injured were shifted to SDH Hospital, Billawar. Out of them four injured were shifted to GMC Kathua in critical condition. They were identified as Ramada Begum, Sonia, Vandana Devi, Sanjay Kumar residents of Tandi Billawar. The Billawar police has started investigation into the matter.
