KATHUA, Oct 21: A 16 year old girl working as domestic servant died in mysterious circumstances here, today at Karan Nagar in her employer’s house under mysterious circumstances.
The deceased was identified as Priyanka Devi resident of Bomiyal Punjab. She was working as domestic servant in the residence of Pankaj Kumar of Karan Nagar since last one year. As per owner’s statement she was found hanging in her room and has committed suicide. The owner Pankaj Kumar has shifted the girl in GMC Kathua in serious condition. But doctors declared her as brought dead.
When the parents came to know about mysterious death of their 16 year old daughter, they reached GMC Kathua and showed serious concern over the death of girl Priyanka. They claimed it as a plain murder.
Subash Chander brother of deceased accused the owner and held him responsible for her death. The family alleged that she was raped and then murdered and demanded the arrest of house owner. Kathua police has registered a case under Section 174 and started investigation into the matter.
