JAMMU, Mar 23: A married Myanmar national was arrested for kidnapping and repeatedly raping a minor girl hailing from Hyderabad from Narak Basti, falling under the jurisdiction of Bus-Stand police station.
As per police sources, a minor Myanmar girl, presently residing at Hyderabad was allegedly kidnapped by a married Myanmar national namely Shabe Alam, son of Mohammad Kalu of Myanmar, at present Hyderabad.
After kidnapping the girl, the accused brought the girl to Jammu and kept her in a rented accommodation at Railway Station and Narwal areas where he repeatedly raped her for over one week.
The accused fearing of getting caught by the police shifted the girl to a rented accommodation at Narak Basti near Bus-Stand and also raped the victim for around one week there also.
Failing to trace their daughter, the parents of the girl reached Jammu to locate her at the places, where Myanmar nationals reside.
The parents of the girl also reported the matter to police station Bus-Stand.
After registering a case, police started search to locate the girl and on specific inputs arrested the accused from Narak Basti, Bus-stand along with the minor girl.
The girl was restored to family members after conducting medical examination.
A case under FIR number 15/14 under Section 376 and 343 RPC has been registered at police station Bus Stand against the accused and investigation started.
The arrest was made by Jatinder Singh Sambyal, SHO, Bus-Stand police station.
