POONCH, Feb 9: Motor Vehicle Department laid enforcement naka at different locations of Poonch district along with Traffic police during which action was taken against traffic rule violators.
Officials said that several vehicles were checked for HSRP plates, fitment of speed limiting devices, route permits and fitness of vehicles, and an amount of Rs 23,000 was collected as fine from violators, while three vehicles were also seized.
ARTO Poonch, Basharat Mahmood when contacted said that violation of traffic rules is being taken seriously and action under law shall be taken against all violators. He requested the public to follow traffic rules and cautioned transporters not to indulge in overloading and charge fare as per rate list.
