SAMBA, Dec 18: Motor Vehicle Department Samba today organized an orientation program for dealers and CSC operators to educate them about various initiatives taken by Transport Department to provide department related services to citizens in faceless manner offering dispensing with minimum requirement of physical visit to any RTO/ARTO.
While presenting demonstrations, ARTO Samba Rehana Tabassam apprised CSC Operators and dealers about the recent revolutionary amendments in All J&K Contract Carriage Route Permits as these are first responder to citizens while availing faceless services. She said that in order to provide convenient, faceless and hassle-free services to the citizens, the Transport Department under the guidance of Secretary Transport Department Ramaswamy Prassana is making all out efforts to make citizens aware of the such steps as these are very beneficial to public and will also lead to thinning of crowds at RTOs for apply of new permits of contract carriage category services.
She informed that several services besides contract carriage permits are already provided by department in faceless manner. The other services which can be availed by citizens by the comfort of their homes includes issuance and renewal of Learner’s License, Renewal of Driving License for which test of competence to drive is not required, duplicate driving license, change of address in driving license, removal /addition of bank endorsement from Certificate of Registration, transfer of ownership of non commercial vehicles, surrender of class of vehicle from license, renewal of route permit, change of address in DL or RC will also be accessible in a contactless manner.
She informed that an applicant can easily avail these services either from home or from any CSC by simply linking and authenticating Aadhar based details.
MVI Samba Vikas Srivats also gave detailed presentation on recent initiatives of Motor Vehicle Department to dealers and CSC operators.
