MV International celebrates Annual Day

JAMMU, Dec 17: MV International School celebrated its 12th Annual Day “Zest” with great zeal and enthusiasm at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu.
Ghulam Nabi Azad, Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha was the chief guest on the occasion, while Prof Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu was guest of honour. Kiran Wattal, Ex-Commissioner JMC and Piyush Bhagat of Star Plus and Dance Plus fame were special guests. Chairman, MVIS, Hira Lal Abrol, Vice Chairperson Savita Abrol, Directors Gourav Abrol and Aakriti Abrol along with eminent citizens and parents graced the occasion.
Director, MVIS presented the welcome address, while Hira Lal Abrol, Chairman, MVIS in his address stressed on the need of quality education and motivated everyone to practice healthy life style.
The cultural program was the mix of variety of events. Class III presented the black and white dance followed by Pre Nursery, Nursery and LKG students dancing to the tunes of Jingle Bells.  Classes I and II made Bollywood live on the stage and UKG students danced to the tunes of the famous Mowgli. Mesmerizing UV Light dance by students of class V and Horror Show by class IV stole the hearts of the audiences. Sports achievers lifted the spirits by the music number ‘Chak de India’. Class VI brought up the Waka Waka mood, Desh Rangila excited the audience to tap their feet. Students of the Music Department presented fusion of vocal music which was followed by Punjabi Tadka by the students of classes 9th and 11th.
Principal KL Dogra presented the annual report highlighting the year long achievements of the school.
Prize distribution was divided into three segments. In first segment distinctive performers at National and State Level were presented with trophies and mementoes. In the second segment 104 students were honored for their 100 per cent attendance. Meritorious performers and District Toppers of Class X and XII were rewarded in the third segment. The Supremes House lifted the Rolling Trophy for ‘The Best House in Cultural Events’. The Invincible House won the Rolling Trophy for ‘The Best House in Sports Events’ of the session.
Ghulam Nabi Azad gave away the prizes to the merit performers of academics and sports. He said that the education system of the country is changing and it is heartening to see that MV International School is catching up fast with the latest trends of education. He inspired the school to achieve greater heights in the future.
