JAMMU, Jan 17: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) here today staged the Musical Play ‘Clean India-Green India’ in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art Production.
The programme was inaugurated by the chief guest, Dr. Tara Singh Charak, former Deputy Director, J&K Health Department. Guests of Honour were Ved Singh Thakur, AEE; V.K Magotra, former Regional Director J&K I&B and Dr. Anju Kumari from J&K Directorate of Health Services.
Speaking on the occasion, Thakur said, ‘cleanliness is Godliness’—the mantra of Mahatma Gandhi, clearly reflects the importance of cleanliness.
The musical play was written, produced and directed by M.L Dogra, Chairman BLSKS and music of the play was composed by Raju Bajgal, Music Instructor BLSKS.
Earlier, welcoming the dignitaries M.L Dogra Chairman BLSKS explained the aims and objectives of the programme.
He said that every parent should discuss the benefits, purpose and necessity of cleanliness with their children.
The artists who performed in the play were Sanjeev Sodhi, Kanta Devi, Nisha Kumari, Mahi Groch, Kanchan Kumari, Sakshi Kumari, Deevam Jandiyal, Parth Sharma, Ranvijay, Azeen Ali, Vikas Paudwal, Mukesh Sharma and others.
