Murmu approves Rs 10 lakh each for kin of 3 persons

JAMMU, June 22: Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu, as a gesture of compassion, has approved an ex-gratia of Rs. 10 lakh each in favour of next of kin of deceased Kamal Kumar R/o Chhapaki Kalaan, district Kathua, who died while being under administrative quarantine in district Kathua and Vipan Zadoo and Vimal Zadoo, relatives of a Coronavirus patient, who died while performing last rites of the deceased in Jammu.
Meanwhile the district administration of Kathua has sanctioned an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh to the wife and two children (one lakh to wife and one lakh to two children) of deceased Kamal Kumar. The administration has also given an amount of Rs10,000 to wife of the deceased for performing last rites.
The district administration Jammu has already sanctioned an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each to the next of kins of Vipan Zadoo and Vimal Zadoo of Gangyal, who had died at Sidhra cremation ground.
Meanwhile, Lieutenant Governor has also approved the financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh each in favour of next of kin of victims of road accident which occurred near Slipor Morh in Block Paddar of Kishtwar district.
The accident took place when tipper with six persons viz Sandeep Kumar, Rajesh Kumar and Rakesh Kumar, all residents of Kadhail; Ravinder Kumar and Jabar Singh, both residents of Jar and Manjeet Kumar R/o Sazar, skidded off the road resulting in the casualties.
