JAMMU, Apr 20: RS Pura police foiled a murder plot with the arrest of a criminal along with loaded pistol and live cartridge.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from RS Pura Police Station laid a naka near Baspur and intercepted a person, who was trying to hide himself from the cops.
During checking, police recovered loaded pistol and one live cartridge from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Raj Kumar alias Raj, son of Balbir Singh of Bega, tehsil Suchetgarh. With his arrest, police foiled murder plot.
A case under FIR Number 51/18 under Section 3/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station RS Pura and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO RS Pura Inspector Bishnesh Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Sourabh Prasher, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
